About Us

Black Oxide Service, Inc., was originally founded by Mr. Leo Slivnik.

His vision to provide "one stop shop" for machining and finishing

Services to his customers led him to start a metal finishing company in

North San Diego County known as Black Oxide Service, Inc.

Black Oxide Service, Inc was founded back in 1986 and was meant to be an

extension of Mr. Slivnik’s existing machine shop which was founded in 1979.

Mr. Slivnik’s motto was when a client/customer asked him to "jump, he said How High?”

He was always up for a new challenge and never turned down a job.

Through the years our company has grown into one of the most fully equipped

machining facilities in North San Diego County.

In 2002 BOS Golf was added to our line up and it too has earned a reputation

for being the Leader in the Golf Club Refinishing services.

Our shop occupies over 10,000 square feet of space, giving us the room to produce,

service and supply a variety of products and services to our valued customers.

Our commitment has always been first and foremost Quality Workmanship.

We do our best to work with our customers providing them with money saving tips, solutions,

recommendations, accommodate special needs and try our best to meet tight deadlines.

We take pride in being pro-active when it comes to the environment and are proud to say that

we were the first zero discharge facility in San Diego County to implement the changes that were

coming down the pipeline.
